Sidel is seeking an Automation Engineer to work on filler machines in Parma. You will design automation software for standard and legacy machines, and manage the development process through testing and customer support.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in Automation or a related field, strong skills in PLC and machine development, and experience with B&R and Siemens technologies. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French or Italian is a plus.

This position offers an opportunity to engage in innovative projects across the organization.

Competenze

• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Fluent in English; French and Italian are advantages.

Mansioni

Your opportunity

Sidel is seeking an Automation Engineer to work on filler machines and cross‑functional initiatives at the group level. Reporting to the Automation Manager in Parma, the role involves designing automation software for both current and legacy ranges of standard filler machines, with the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across the organization.

Your Mission

• Manage the development of automation software (standard and safety) until field test and customer support
• Respect Guidelines & Rules in development of the software
• Work with a strong relationship with hardware team and HMI team
• Perfect understanding of electrical design, and HMI design
• Participate to functional analysis, FMEA
• Procure all technical documents linked to the software
• Test all the software following the method defined
• To support Supply department (internal testing and simulation test benches)

Your Profile

• Diploma in Automation technician, Bachelor or Master’s Degree
• Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Outlook; SAP knowledge
• Language requirements: English, written and spoken; Fluency in French, Italian is an advantage
