G2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to advance hydrogen projects across Italy. The role is based in Milan, with a competitive salary and full benefits, and a hybrid pattern offering 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

You will lead automation initiatives across oil & gas, Petrochemical and hydrogen sectors, designing and integrating automated systems, while ensuring maintenance and QA across compressors and electrolysers.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in automation or related field.
• 4+ years' experience in automation in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Hydrogen sectors.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python; strong knowledge of control systems.
• Experience with software testing, automation management, scripting, and automation frameworks.

Mansioni

• Create automated systems and machinery from design to prototype stage.
• Lead integration: simulate, program and test the automated machinery to ensure all equipment functions correctly.
• Head up the integration of new cutting edge automation technology.
• Provide ongoing maintenance to ensure the continuity of operations.
• Manage quality assurance processes for the automated systems; meet specifications.
• Oversee QA for relevant automated systems on compressors & electrolysers; meet operation, design & maintenance guidelines.
• Work with engineering teams to outline automation strategies and implement key solutions.

We are looking for an experienced automation engineer to join one of our clients' who operate across the oil & gas, renewable and petrochemical sectors.

This is a permanent position to be based in Milan with a competitive salary and full benefits.

The description below is to assist our client with advancing their Hydrogen projects across Italy.They have experienced year-on-year growth across a booming sector, and the feedback we have received has been consistently excellent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create automated systems and key pieces of machinery from the design to prototype stage
• Lead the integration of newSimulate, program and test the automated machinery to ensure all equipment functions correctly
• Head up the integration of new cutting edge automation technology
• Provide ongoing maintenance to ensure the continuity of operations
• Manage the quality assurance processes for the automated systems, ensuring they meet the specifications
• Oversee all quality processes for the relevant automated systems on compressors & electrolysers, ensuring they meet the guidelines for operation, design & maintenance of all systems
• Work closely with engineering teams to outline the automation strategies & implement key solutions

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or C++, Python, strong base knowledge of control systems and industrial automation tools
• Experience with software testing, automation management, scripting, and automation frameworks.
• 4 + years' xdwybme experience with automation in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Hydrogen sectors
• Bachelor's degree in automation, mechanical/electrical engineering or relevant field
