Brambles, through its CHEP unit, seeks a motivated intern to join the Field Operations team in Milan. You will contribute to operational data analysis, reporting, and back-office support, enabling field teams to focus on customer-facing activities.

The role combines analytical support and administrative coordination, offering hands-on experience with data quality and reporting tools in a dynamic international environment.

Job Description
STANDARD FIELD BASE TEAM SUPPORT
  • Preparation and Pre-Visit Activities:
  • Conduct health checks and collection analysis on specifi locations(CIFOT).
  • Review inventory loss reports and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Create presentations in PowerPoint to support visit.
  • Utilize tools such as Teamhaven and Power Apps for operational planning.
Verify routing compliance for DCTW processes
  • Post-Visit Management:
  • Handle complaints and create follow-up activities for detailed IN requests.
  • Investigate mismatches and communicate advocacy-related information.
  • Manage case documentation, including copies of delivery notes.
Data Recovery and Reporting
  • Create ARAP reports by retrieving and sending data related to losses and incoming goods.
Case Management
  • Open cases to correct transactional movements and ensure proper resolution.
Transaction Data Processing
  • Validate tDD files received from regional teams to ensure compliance with required procedures.
  • Support activities for tDD processing using structured files instead of manual forwarding.
  • Monitor and confirm that communicated data is correctly processed, including rejected transactions.
Database Administration
  • Manage and maintain operational databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Basket Account management
Suspect Management
  • Identify and handle suspect cases within asset and retail account workflows.
Administrative Support for LVR Vehicle Management
  • Open new locations in Teamhaven and ensure proper configuration.
  • Verify requests submitted by LVR teams and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.
  • Interact with the Global Contact Center (GCC) for issue resolution and coordination.
  • Extract data from Teamhaven for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Generate calculations required for Purchase Order (PO) issuance and ensure timely processing.

Location: Milan, Italy
Duration: 6 months + 6 months extension possible
Compensation: €900/month reimbursement + Meal vouchers
Languages: Fluent English and Italian required
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical intern to join our Field Operations team in Milan. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting operational field activities through a combination of data analysis, business reporting, and administrative coordination.

The role combines two key dimensions:

  • Analytical support: transforming operational data into actionable insights and supporting performance reviews.
  • Back-office support: managing administrative and operational processes that enable field teams to focus on customer-facing activities.

You will work closely with field teams, operations specialists, and support functions to ensure efficient execution of operational processes and continuous improvement of data quality.

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations Support
  • Prepare operational reviews and customized business presentations for field teams.
  • Support audit preparation by creating and maintaining documentation required for site visits and compliance reviews.
  • Conduct operational health checks and collection analysis for specific locations.
  • Support follow-up activities related to collections and field operations.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze inventory and loss-related data, identify trends, and prepare reports.
  • Create reporting dashboards and performance trackers.
  • Extract, consolidate, and validate operational data from multiple systems.
  • Produce reports related to asset movements, incoming goods, and operational performance.
  • Support data recovery and reporting activities.
Process & Transaction Management
  • Collect information from field retailers and prepare structured transaction files for processing.
  • Validate transaction data received from regional teams and ensure compliance with defined procedures.
  • Monitor processing outcomes and investigate rejected or mismatched transactions.
  • Open and manage cases related to transactional corrections and operational issues.
  • Support suspect case investigations and account maintenance activities.
Administrative & Operational Coordination
  • Support the administrative processes related to transport and location management.
  • Create and maintain operational records and databases to ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions and documentation for customer inquiries and operational requests.
  • Support purchase order preparation through data extraction and calculations.
  • Liaise with internal support teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
Who We’re Looking For
Education
  • Master's degree student (M1/M2) in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Interest in operations, supply chain, retail, or field execution environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing several tasks simultaneously.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly:
  • Familiarity with:
  • Knowledge of data management and reporting tools is a plus.
Languages
  • Fluent English and Italian (written and spoken).
