Job summary

Sidel in Mantova is seeking an Assembly Operator to join the assembly and testing team for labeling machines at our Mantova plant. You will report to the Head of Assembly Operator and bridge assembly and testing to ensure machines meet technical, contractual and safety specs.

You’ll contribute to quality and continuous improvement while following defined safety rules, work instructions, and routings. English skills are required, and occasional travel up to 20% of time is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical education background required with interest in machine assembly and testing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Written and spoken English skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with methodical problem solving.
• Curiosity, safety focus and willingness to learn and improve.
• Availability for international travel up to 20% of working time.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test machines at the Mantua plant following safety rules and standards.
• Perform activities according to work instructions and routings, meeting quality requirements within time.
• Identify deviations from standard times, investigate causes and propose corrective actions.
• Complete control cards, activity tracking forms and final testing reports accurately.
• Contribute to process improvements using Lean methodology and raise safety concerns or improvement opportunities.
• Keep the workplace clean and organized by applying the 5S methodology.
