Job summary

Amazon on-site in Italy seeks an Applied Scientist to build the next generation of Detail Page optimization algorithms. You will shape models that adapt to changing customer preferences and scale across multiple Amazon programs, improving experiences on Detail Page, Search Page and widgets.

You will collaborate with senior scientists to define standards in optimization, modeling and analytics, presenting results to executives and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive impact.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree required or equivalent.
• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• Publications or patents in top-tier venues preferred.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, optimization, data mining, distributed computing, HPC.
