Amazon Science in Turin, Italy is seeking an Applied Scientist to advance and deploy state-of-the-art ML/RAG systems for Alexa. You will apply expertise in ML, NLP, and large language models to create scalable, high-performance products and publish at top conferences.

You will own the full ML lifecycle—from data analysis to production deployment and A/B testing—impactting millions of Alexa users globally. The role spans collaboration with business, engineering, and science teams across Amazon,

Competenze

• Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques.
• Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including leadership.
• PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning or related field.
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java, with deep expertise in machine learning frameworks.
• Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, algorithms, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

• Analyze and model customer behavior at scale, building metrics for personal digital assistants.
• Develop and deploy deep learning, policy-based learning, and ML algorithms affecting customer experiences.
• Build automated model training and evaluation pipelines and conduct online A/B testing.
