Amazon in Turin, Italy seeks an Applied Scientist for the Alexa AI team to advance ML/RAG systems and deploy them at scale for millions of Alexa users. You will apply ML, NLP, and large language models to deliver reliable, high-performance features in production.

You will own the full ML lifecycle from data analysis to automated training pipelines and AB testing across devices, with opportunities to publish at top conferences and to collaborate with SDEs and researchers worldwide.

Competenze

• Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques.
• Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership, or experience managing teams.
• PhD, or a Master’s degree and experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning or related field
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java, with deep expertise in machine learning frameworks
• Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, algorithms, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing

Mansioni

• Analyze and model customer behavior at scale, building novel metrics for personal digital assistants across diverse devices and endpoints.
• Deploy automated model training and evaluation pipelines, implementing complex machine learning and deep learning algorithms, and conducting rigorous model and data analysis through online A/B testing.
• Lead high-visibility programs that automate workflows and deliver measurable customer impact, collaborating with business, engineering, and science teams across Amazon.
