DXC Technology Italia is seeking an Application Technical Leader in Bari (Hybrid) to own end-to-end software solutions from design through production, ensuring quality and scalability. You will lead technical delivery in Java EE, Spring, SPA frameworks, microservices, Docker and cloud architectures.

• Bachelor or Master Degree in technical field.
• Advanced expertise in Java EE, Spring Framework, SPA frameworks, Microservices, Docker, cloud architectures, design patterns, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and cloud AI services (LLM platforms).
• Advanced software development competencies: code quality, architecture design, DevOps practices, and agile/waterfall methodologies.
• Understanding of cloud-based applications architecture and deployment practices.
• Ability to translate business needs into structured technical requirements, including AI-driven features.
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and teamwork orientation.

Job Description

DXC Technology Italia is looking for an Application Technical Leader to join the Custom Apps Offering.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end technical ownership of software and application solutions in the Software Engineering area, from design to production, ensuring code quality, scalability and maintainability
• Design, develop and execute business and technical solutions for the implementation of new features or system upgrades/conversions, utilizing the technology stack: Java EE, Spring Framework, Single Page Applications, Microservices, Docker and cloud-based architectures
• Technical guidance and support of junior and mid-level resources on delivery activities, code review and quality assurance
• Analysis and resolution of complex technical issues on systems and platforms, through advanced problem solving and evaluation of alternative solutions
• Direct interface with Business Analysts, Project Managers and stakeholders to gather and validate technical requirements, present proposed solutions and monitor alignment with business objectives
• Contribution to the definition of technical standards, best practices and design patterns in your area of specialization (Software Engineering, DevOps, Cloud)
• Contribution to the hiring process through technical evaluations during interviews
• Stay current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies in the software development ecosystem

Requirements

We Require Bachelor or Master Degree (Nice to have technical field: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields)

Advanced technical expertise on technologies: Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, cloud-based architectures, design patterns and SQL/NoSQL databases

Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, such as cloud AI services, LLM platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI), basic ML frameworks and integration of AI APIs into enterprise applications.

Advanced software development competencies: code quality, architecture design, understanding of DevOps practices and agile/waterfall methodologies

Understanding of cloud-based applications architecture and deployment practices

Ability to translate business needs into structured technical requirements, including those related to AI-driven features (classification, automation, RAG, etc.).

Strong analytical skills, problem solving, focus on results, decision-making abilities and teamwork orientation.

Location: Bari (BA) with smart working possibility

Offer Package

The position offers a gross annual base salary starting from €24,000. Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (CBA: Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per il personale dipendente da imprese esercenti servizi di Telecomunicazione) and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including responsability, experience and skills.
