Job summary

Sartorius is seeking an Application Specialist (F/M) to provide application expertise, technical consultation, and customer-facing product support across the lifecycle. This role is based in Italia and involves extensive external engagement to ensure successful product adoption in customer processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating evaluations, trials, training, and troubleshooting, while capturing feedback to influence portfolio enhancements.

Qualifications

Join our Technical Sales LH & LWG team as an Application Specialist (F/M) and play a key role in providing application expertise, technical consultation and customer‑facing product support across the customer lifecycle. Through application support and technical expertise, you will help customers successfully integrate our product portfolio into their processes and contribute to what matters most: better health for more people.

Grow With Us - Your Responsibilities

• Support customer evaluations, application assessments and technical consultations by translating process requirements into appropriate product and workflow recommendations to accelerate product adoption
• Execute application trials, validations, proof‑of‑concept activities and customer training by designing, coordinating and documenting customer‑specific evaluation, onboarding plans and outcomes to increase implementation success rates
• Resolve technical inquiries, application challenges and product performance issues by troubleshooting customer processes and coordinating corrective actions with relevant functions to protect customer productivity
• Provide application expertise throughout opportunity development by contributing technical insights, competitive positioning and solution recommendations for customer use cases to improve technical suitability of proposed solutions
• Capture customer feedback, application trends and competitive intelligence by analyzing field observations, trial outcomes and product usage patterns and sharing actionable recommendations with Product Management and relevant stakeholders to influence portfolio enhancements

What Will Convince Us

• Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience
• 3+ years of application support, technical support, field application, laboratory, process development or related customer‑facing experience in the life sciences industry
• In‑depth knowledge of relevant products, applications and associated customer workflows
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and application‑related issues in customer environments
• Hands‑on technical capability, including demos, trials, evaluations and customer training activities with the ability to document application findings, trial outcomes and technical recommendations in a structured manner
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product Management, Quality and other cross‑functional stakeholders in a matrix
• Customer orientation with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective application solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to articulate technical value to diverse stakeholders
• Willing to travel >50% as this role is heavily focused on external customers
