SMA Solar Technology AG in Milano, Italy, is seeking an Application Engineer to provide advanced technical support and strategic consulting for solar, storage, and integrated energy solutions. You will work with customers and the Sales team to address technical requirements and optimize system design.

You will coordinate with Italian authorities, contribute to training programs, and drive successful project execution while expanding your application expertise and taking on broader technical

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-sales, application engineering, or equivalent, within electrical engineering.
• Degree/master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Excellent knowledge of PV and energy storage systems and related monitoring controls.

Mansioni

• Provide high-level technical support and engineering consulting to customers; resolve complex issues and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with Sales on PV and energy storage projects in utility-scale segments; provide in-depth technical analysis.
• Attend customer meetings with sales; act as technical interface with customer departments.
• Lead technical discussions; support plant design optimization and grid connection requirements (Terna, DSOs, CEI 0-16/0-21).
• Coordinate with Product Managers and Italian authorities (ARERA, Terna, GSE) for compliance and market launches.
• Contribute technical content to sales and marketing; deliver training programs and workshops.
