Hitachi Energy seeks an Application Engineer for charging infrastructure within the Europe Hub. You will collaborate with customers, Sales, Tendering, PM, engineering teams and local units to craft optimized, fit-for-purpose charging solutions for public and commercial transport.

You will shape high-level technical concepts from initial customer engagement through tendering and support their refinement during project execution, ensuring alignment with Hitachi Energy’s portfolio and standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on power systems, power electronics or related studies.
• 5 years of experience in application, power systems engineering including DC power supply systems and power electronics.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC distribution, transformers, switchgear and grid-connection principles.

Mansioni

• Engage with customers early to understand operational needs and charging strategies.
• Develop high-level technical concepts for charging infrastructure and interfaces.
• Translate requirements into optimized, feasible Hitachi Energy solutions.
• Support Sales and tender teams with technical inputs and concept handover for verification.
• Coordinate with internal experts on power-system studies, grid connection and charging equipment.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and design criteria for customer reviews.
• Assist project teams post-award to refine the sold solution and optimize interfaces.
