Job summary

Barilla in Parma, HQ, is seeking an Analytical Laboratory Technician to join the Barilla Analytical labs, performing chemical, rheological, and microbiological analyses on raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.

You will maintain lab instruments, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with scientists, technologists, and pilot plant staff to support day-to-day projects. Proficiency in Italian and English (B2) is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma in chemistry/food chemistry.
• 1–2 years in an analytical laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with ELISA, chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopy.
• Nice to have: SAP and LIMS.
• Italian: full proficiency; English: at least B2.
• Team working, Negotiation and Communication skills; Organizational skill.

Responsibilities

• Execute all elements of a test plan, from sample preparation to results acquisition.
• Generate accurate and repeatable test data and elaborate results for the final report.
• Identify ways to improve the execution of methods and explore new techniques.
• Maintain analytical laboratory instruments.
• Ensure laboratory compliance with safety procedures and rules.
• Collaborate with internal scientists, technologists and pilot plant technicians for sample analysis.
