Vertiv Group Corporation in Milano is seeking a Field Service Technician to start up, maintain and repair Vertiv air conditioning products and other contracted systems. You will establish and maintain excellent rapport with customers, sales staff, distributors, and others in the area, and keep a continuous line of communication with Call Control and the site Manager.

Responsible for Start Up, maintenance and emergency repairs of Vertiv Air Conditioning products, as well as other contracted systems. Required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area. Maintain continuous communications with Call Control and the department Manager/Supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

• Ø Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Ø Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance with established company safety policy.
• Ø Perform all work using good working practice and current codes of practice/legislation relevant to assigned task.
• Ø Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures.
• Ø Assist in ensuring that the planned maintenance completion rate is maintained at a min 90% .
• Ø Assist call control to schedule, plan and complete any works as required, using established work flow procedures.
• Ø Keep call control informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
• Ø Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors with the site change form.
• Ø Support company vision and management decision.
• Ø Ensure that all ISO 9001:2000 agreed processes are followed.
• Ø Keep company vehicle clean and properly maintained.
• Ø You will be expected to look after all tooling and company property issued to enable the tasks to be carried out.
• Ø Work as part of the service team.
• Ø Follow up and follow through with any and all assigned tasks.
• Ø Submit daily paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and in case of Wireless Field Service ensure the job is debriefed in a complete and accurate manner at the customer’s premises where possible
• Ø Ensure availability to work during weekend and nights
• Ø Report sales or service leads to the proper department
• Ø Provide a positive influence to peers
• Ø Provide on site technical assistance with difficult problems
• Ø Work closely & assist department supervisors, salesman, contracts engineer & managers with their day-to day operational duties.
• Ø Attend customer meetings as required
• Ø The employee ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of [Export Compliance], [Import Compliance], [EU Arrivals and Despatching], as well as [Supply Chain Security] is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company International Trade Compliance Regulation certification program itself

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Ø Experience of working in a technical service or test environment of Air Conditioning equipment essential
• Ø Computer Literate (All office associated programs such as, word, excel, outlook)
• Ø Previous field service experience essential
• Ø Excellent customer service skills
• Ø Strong communication skills
• Ø Self starter, ability to plan , organise and manage time effectively with an ability to work under pressure
• Ø Clean Valid driving license

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ø A significant amount of after hours and weekend work, frequently scheduled with little notice
• Ø Travel on a daily basis to and from customer sites
• Ø Will be required to stay away from home or travel long distances.
• Ø Occasional heavy lifting required
• Ø You will be expected to operate as part of a team
• Ø Participate on the 24/7 on call rota.
• Ø May be required to travel abroad from time to time.
• Ø You will be supplied with a Company uniform, which must be warn at all times while working.
