GitLab is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer for the EMEA region to work directly with strategic customers, delivering production-ready solutions and guiding AI-enabled workflows within the GitLab platform.

You will contribute to core product code, diagnose complex problems across architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and durable outcomes. This role emphasizes leadership, governance, and reusable guidance across customer engagements.

Competenze

• Staff-level experience building, operating, or improving complex production software systems.
• Experience contributing to large, mature product codebases with high standards for testing, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development, agentic workflows, AI governance, and enterprise adoption.

Mansioni

• Contribute production-quality code to GitLab’s product and adjacent systems.
• Develop fixes, features, integrations, tooling, and performance improvements for strategic customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure customer-driven solutions align with long-term product direction.
• Turn field blockers into durable product improvements, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
