Job summary

Relatech Group is seeking an experienced AI Architect to define the technical direction for AI-assisted software delivery in its Advisory Unit. The role blends hands-on AI engineering with architecture leadership to determine where AI adds value and how solutions should be built.

You will set tooling, standards, and delivery approaches for engineering teams, integrating AI capabilities with existing workflows and ensuring reliable, secure implementations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in AI architectures and delivery.
• Strong experience with Claude and Claude Code.
• Ability to translate business needs into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Excellent communication for guiding technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess use cases and define the most appropriate AI-based solution.
• Design AI architectures, agent workflows, and tooling.
• Set the technical direction for AI-enabled software delivery.
• Design the approach and transition path toward spec-driven development.
• Define how Claude, Claude Code, MCP, and spec tooling fit into the engineering workflow.
• Integrate AI capabilities with repositories, documentation, ticketing, and delivery pipelines.
• Establish standards for reliability, evaluation, security, and governance.
• Lead the design of new use cases and validate approaches through hands-on implementation.
• Create reusable technical patterns, documentation, and guidance for wider adoption.
• Strong experience in AI solution architecture and hands-on AI engineering.
• Advanced practical experience with Claude and Claude Code.

What You'll Do

• Assess use cases and define the most appropriate AI-based solution
• Design AI architectures, agent workflows, and supporting tooling
• Set the technical direction for AI-enabled software delivery
• Design the approach and transition path toward spec-driven development
• Define how Claude, Claude Code, MCP, and spec tooling fit into the engineering workflow
• Integrate AI capabilities with repositories, documentation, ticketing, and delivery pipelines
• Establish standards for reliability, evaluation, security, and governance
• Lead the design of new use cases and validate approaches through hands-on implementation
• Create reusable technical patterns, documentation, and guidance for wider adoption
• Strong experience in AI solution architecture and hands-on AI engineering
• Advanced practical experience with Claude and Claude Code
• Strong understanding of agent design, context management, and tool integration
• Practical experience with MCP integrations
• Strong software engineering background and understanding of modern delivery practices
• Good understanding of AI evaluation, security, permissions, and failure modes
• Ability to translate business needs into clear and pragmatic technical solutions
• Strong communication skills and confidence guiding technical teams

Experience:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenSpec, GitHub Spec Kit, AzForge, or similar tooling
• Experience creating shared AI engineering standards or frameworks
• Exposure to multi-agent architectures
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments

Economics:

The gross annual salary (RAL) for this position ranges from €50,000 to €55,000, depending on the candidate’s professional experience, skills, and the level of autonomy required for the role.

Where applicable, the compensation package may include a variable component and additional benefits in accordance with company policies.

The contractual classification will be determined in accordance with the Italian CCNL Commercio.
