Dr. Schär is seeking an Accounting Manager to actively shape the future of the accounting function and lead ongoing process and system improvements in a global, collaborative environment.

You will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger, ensure compliance with Italian tax and regulatory requirements, manage financial statements, and drive digitalization and change initiatives with the team. This role offers onboarding and a growth-focused culture.

Competenze

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a comparable qualification is an advantage.
• Several years of professional accounting experience including GL, AP and AR.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax requirements.

Mansioni

• Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with Italian accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and manage annual financial statements and reporting.
• Improve accounting processes and implement digitization initiatives.

Do you want to take on responsibility, actively shape change, and make an important contribution to the company's success? As an Accounting Manager, you will play an active role in shaping the future of the Accounting function and driving the continuous development of processes and systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of the relevant Italian accounting principles; knowledge of IFRS is considered an advantage
• Ensuring compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Experience in the preparation and management of annual financial statements
• Managing and continuously improving accounting processes and structures
• In-depth knowledge of end-to-end accounting processes, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing more efficient workflows, digitalization initiatives, and optimization projects within accounting
• Supporting change and transformation processes
• Proactive identification and evaluation of funding programs and grants
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Providing professional leadership and development of the accounting team

Your Profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, with solid expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and tax requirements
• Experience in audit firms or external auditing companies is an advantage
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Business Central and/or SAP
• Leadership experience combined with excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience in process optimization, digitalization, and change management
• Hands-on mentality, strategic mindset, and a high level of personal responsibility
• Excellent German and/or Italian as well as English language skills

In accordance with EU Directive 2023/970 on pay transparency, we indicate a starting salary of EUR 50,000 gross per year for this position. Depending on the candidate's professional experience, qualifications, skills, and the scope of responsibilities required, the final compensation package may exceed this amount.
