Vodafone Idea Limited in Pune is seeking a Zonal Technology Manager to lead RAN and MW network uptime, oversee field operations, and drive KPI improvements across 2G/3G/4G. You will supervise maintenance, spares, and vendor liaison to ensure reliable service.

The role requires 10–15 years in RAN and MW operations, a BE in Electronics and Communication, and proven leadership in large teams. You will coordinate with IP and OFC vendors, ensure safety standards, and mentor staff to deliver

Responsibilities

• RAN and MW alarm rectification and proactive monitoring.
• MW parameter tracking and rectification for applicable cases.
• Periodic quality PM to maintain network KPIs.
• Hourly sites and sector outage tracking and rectification.
• WFM parameter tracking and reporting.
• Plan and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance for network quality across 2G/3G/4G.
• Liaison with IP vendors and OFC vendors; coordinate with local authorities.
• Ensure discipline in Asset/Inventory/Spares management and documentation.

Role

Zonal Technology Manager

Job Purpose: Responsible for network uptime for Radio & MW. Drive to improve the network KPIs for all RAN and access transport including MW technology, Spares management, Alarm rectification, Corrective & Preventive maintenance & Liasoning with IP Vendors. Ensure upkeep of required tools for operation.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• RAN and MW alarm rectification


• MW parameter tracking and rectification for applicable cases


• Periodic quality PM


• Hourly sites and sector outage tracking and rectification


• WFM parameter tracking


• Plan & Supervise corrective and preventive maintenance to improve Network quality of the cluster for maintaining the operational KPI’s for 2G, 3G & 4G network.


• Liasoning with IP vendors, OFC vendors and local authorities to improve the network performance and better customer experience.


• Ensure discipline in Asset / Inventory / Spare management documentation to have right track of Network assets


• Effective spare management, No RNP of Hardware, Timely recon of spare and requirement.


• Vendor management, Resource utilization, HSW compliance.

Support & Governance

• Ensure safety & HSW compliance for entire team with absolutely ZERO fatality


• Periodic governance & support to deliver field operation requirements


• Ensure proper tools, Safety equipment, Laptop with access rights, necessary cables, Vehicle availability


• Periodic training / refresher courses, new technology workshops for team to deliver field operation requirements


• Drive WFM KPIs for HW replacement, Fault / Alarm resolution TAT


• Escalate & Participate improving Infra provider related issues to create right infrastructure for BTS & MW equipment functionality

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

Sound knowledge on troubleshooting of RAN/MW, Optical & IP transport network. Large size team Management & Governance Administration and team building ability Analytical and communication skill set.

Experience- 10-15 years of experience in BSS O&M for RAN & MW domain. Must have technical / professional qualifications B.E in Electronics and Communication.
