Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited is seeking a Zonal Technology Manager responsible for RAN and MW performance, ensuring network uptime and KPI delivery across the zone. The role involves coordinating field operations, asset management, and vendor liaison to sustain reliable services.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in BSS O&M for RAN & MW, strong leadership, and expertise in RAN/MW troubleshooting, with a proven track record in governance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure network uptime for Radio & MW; drive KPIs for RAN and MW.
• Plan and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance to improve network quality.
• Liaison with IP/Vendors and local authorities to improve network performance.
• Manage asset/inventory/spare documentation for right asset tracking.
• Drive safety compliance and governance for the field team.
• Provide governance and support for field operation requirements.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are available for operations.

Zonal Technology Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for network uptime for Radio & MW. Drive to improve the network KPIs for all RAN and access transport including MW technology, Spares management, Alarm rectification, Corrective & Preventive maintenance & Liasoning with IP Vendors. Ensure upkeep of required tools for operation.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

RAN and MW alarm rectification

• MW parameter tracking and rectification for applicable cases Periodic quality PM
• Hourly sites and sector outage tracking and rectification
• WFM parameter tracking.
• Plan & Supervise corrective and preventive maintenance to improve Network quality of the cluster for maintaining the operational KPI’s for 2G, 3G & 4G network.
• Liasoning with IP vendors, OFC vendors and local authorities to improve the network performance and better customer experience.
• Ensure discipline in Asset / Inventory / Spare management documentation to have right track of Network assets
• Plan & Supervise corrective and preventive maintenance to improve Network quality of the cluster for maintaining the operational KPI’s for 2G, 3G & 4G network.
• Liasoning with IP vendors, OFC vendors and local authorities to improve the network performance and better customer experience.
• Ensure discipline in Asset / Inventory / Spare management documentation to have right track of Network assets
• Effective spare management, No RNP of Hardware, Timely recon of spare and requirement.

Support & Governance :

• Ensure safety & HSW compliance for entire team with absolutely ZERO fatality
• Periodic governance & support to deliver field operation requirements
• Ensure proper tools, Safety equipment, Laptop with access rights, necessary cables, Vehicle availability
• Periodic training / refresher courses, new technology workshops for team to deliver field operation requirements
• Drive WFM KPIs for HW replacement, Fault / Alarm resolution TAT
• Escalate & Participate improving Infra provider related issues to create right infrastructure for BTS & MW equipment functionality
