Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited in India seeks a Manager/Senior Manager for Long Distance Operations to manage ILD and NLD networks, vendor relations, and project-driven improvements. You will oversee plan execution, testing, and version upgrades while ensuring security and availability across enterprise voice networks.

The role requires BE/B Tech in E&T with 3–5 years of relevant experience; CCNA and cloud certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate and optimize ILD & NLD networks for reliability.
Coordinate CARE and vendor management with SME and TAC Level 1 support.
Lead feature testing, LD core node upgrades and change management.
Prepare documentation: HLD/LLD/PID/SW release/operational guides.
Support go-live readiness and audit trail activities.

Job Purpose

Operations of ILD and NLD Network. CARE & Vendor Management with SME and TAC Level 1 support. New Feature, Parameter Testing, LD and Enterprises Voice Network Build, Integration, Network optimization and project management support to planning.

Execution of planned activity, database expansion, version and patch upgradation in LD and Enterprises voice network. Implementation of network security hardening in ILD, NLD, & Fix line VOIP Network. Spare Management to ensure 100% availability.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Operations and optimization of ILD & NLD Network

Solution finalization & UAT of New Nodes
Pilot Version / Patch upgradation of LD Core Nodes. Post-handover the change management, responsible for program management.
Pilot upgradation and Program management for upgradation of LD MGWs.
Audits corrections, feature activation and verification, Tuple expansion, Changes in the LD network etc.
Fault Management and CARE issues of LD nodes.
Deletion and coordination with circles on EOSMGW / Soft Switch.
Verify UAT Test cases, be part of troubleshooting, logs verification, troubleshooting in peer node connectivity, test no routing, RA Testing coordination and support, Go-live readiness.
Verify all documents related to new project - HLD, LLD, PID, SW release, operational guides etc.
Preparing ad-hoc reports, give inputs for various review, give inputs to COG on asked DATA from various nodes

TAC / CARE support to ILD & NLD Network

LD & Enterprise network CARE & Vendor Management with TAC Level 1 support.
New Feature & Parameter Testing LD Network Build / Integration /Network optimization.
Annual TERM audit, Periphery audit and corrective actions.
Pilot Version upgradation & Patch upgradation of ILD, NLD & SBC nodes.
Database capacity expansion of LD and Enterprises voice nodes.
Provide SME support and arrange OEM TAC teams for resolution of NGN critical Issues.
LD and Enterprises Voice Network Build, Integration, Network optimization and project management support to planning.

LD and Enterprises Spares Management

Inter Circle Spare movement from one circle to other as per spare distribution plan - Request raising, follow up with SCM, VISSL team etc, ensure proper packing, photo capturing
Coordination with OEM for R&R of faulty hardware in agreed SLAs. Follow up with Logistic, record updating, tracking till HW returns

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

In-depth understanding and hands on working experience on multivendor and multi operator environment.
Clear understanding of all types of call flows, Routing aspects and Report analysis.
Trace analysis and troubleshooting skills including knowledge of protocols like ISUP& SIP
Should be Good team member and should have good communication skills.
Analytical, Reasoning and logical thinking skills
Positive Attitude towards problem solving, learning new things, adopt changes.
