Job summary

Ather Energy is seeking a Zonal Accessories & Merchandise Manager to lead operations for a designated zone in India. You will drive sales targets, oversee ECs and retail partners, and ensure brand standards are maintained through audits and compliance checks.

You will work with marketing, vehicle teams, and area sales managers to coordinate launches and promotions, while resolving customer escalations and supporting warranty processes.

Qualifications

Job description

The Sales Operations team at Ather is responsible for managing the end-to-end Accessories & Merchandise (AnM) business, ensuring retail performance excellence across zones, Experience Centers (ECs), and Retail Partners (RPs). This team focuses on target setting, wholesale execution, and maintaining brand standards through regular audits and compliance monitoring.

This role is for a Zonal A&M Manager who will oversee AnM business operations for an assigned zone. You will be responsible for tracking retail performance, ensuring genuine product sales, managing customer escalations, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive growth through marketing activities and new product launches.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accessories & Merchandise business operations for the assigned zone, setting and achieving sales targets for zonal teams and retail partners.
• Track AnM retail performance at EC and RP levels, maintaining regular audits to ensure proper product display and optimal stock levels.
• Ensure compliance and quality control by monitoring for non-genuine accessory sales and improving EC staff sales pitches for AnM products.
• Manage customer escalations related to product issues and provide assistance with warranty claims and HO notifications.
• Conduct competitor analysis to stay informed of market activities and suggest product improvements or new offerings to remain competitive.
• Cascade critical information regarding sales targets, stock availability, and retail performance to ECs and RPs.
• Provide technical and logistic support to Retail Partners during new product launches and monthly promotional schemes.
• Plan and participate in BTL marketing activities and events in coordination with the vehicle team and Area Sales Managers.

Must Have Competencies

• Demonstrate advanced skills in Retail Partner Management to align zonal teams and partners with AnM business objectives.
• Apply advanced Data Management techniques to track zonal retail performance and monitor stock levels effectively.
• Utilize advanced collaboration skills to engage daily with Area Sales Managers and cross-functional teams for performance updates.
• Drive for results by executing zonal-level wholesale operations in line with established targets.

Good to have Competencies

• Utilize Excel or Google Sheets for basic data tracking and reporting of sales metrics and audits.
• Provide basic insights into competitor activities and product trends to support business competitiveness.
• Apply basic logistical support principles to assist Retail Partners during product launches.
• Execute basic event coordination for zonal BTL marketing activities and brand activations.
