Job summary

Ather Energy in Bangalore seeks an SAP Solution Analyst to drive SAP MM and S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement design, configuration, and support across the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, ensuring inventory accuracy and procurement efficiency.

You will bridge business requirements with technology, lead end-to-end MM configuration, manage master data, and ensure smooth FI/CO, SD, and PP integration through IDoc and OData.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant.
• Participation in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation.
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA MM integration with FI/CO, SD and PP.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end P2P process configuration (PRs, POs, RFQs, outline agreements).
• Manage MM master data governance and configuration (Material Master, BP, Info Records).
• Configure Inventory Management, batch management, stock determination, and physical inventory.
• Design LIV, material valuation, and automatic account determination for FI integration.
• Translate business requirements into RICEFW specs; collaborate with ABAP team.
• Lead SIT/UAT, create test scripts, resolve defects, maintain project docs.
• Execute data migration using LTMC and LSMW for SAP S/4HANA.
• Provide production support across FI/CO, SD, PP via IDoc, OData, ABAP Proxies.

Role: SAP Solution Analyst

Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bangalore

Reporting to: Technincal Architect - SAP Engineering

About the Team and the Role

The Supply Chain Technology team at Ather is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting robust digital solutions that optimize core operations, drive end-to-end procurement efficiency, and ensure accurate inventory and logistics management.

This role is for a detail-oriented and experienced SAP MM Functional Consultant to drive the design, configuration, and support of SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement solutions. The role owner will bridge business requirements with technology to streamline the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle and enhance supply chain execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end P2P process configuration including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, RFQs, Outline Agreements, release strategies, and specialized procurement scenarios (subcontracting, consignment, STO).
• Manage MM master data governance and configuration, covering Material Master, Business Partner (BP), Purchasing Info Records, and Quota arrangements.
• Configure and oversee Inventory Management processes, special inventory functions (batch management, stock determination), and Physical Inventory cycle counting to ensure stock accuracy.
• Design Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV), material valuation (standard/moving average price), and automatic account determination for seamless integration with Finance (FI).
• Translate manufacturing business requirements into detailed RICEFW functional specifications, collaborating with ABAP developers and utilizing BAPI, BADI, and Enhancement Spots.
• Lead and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), creating test scripts, resolving defects, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Execute data migration activities into SAP S/4HANA utilizing tools such as LTMC and LSMW.
• Deliver expert production support by troubleshooting and resolving complex issues across system integration points including FI/CO, SD, and PP using IDoc, OData, and ABAP Proxies.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
• Hands-on experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant, including participation in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation project
• 3-5 Years of Relevant experience

Must Have Competencies

• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement, end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes, and enterprise structure configuration.
• Proficiency in advanced MM configuration including pricing procedures, movement types, account determination, split valuation, output management, batch management, and STO.
• Strong integration experience between MM and FI/CO, SD, and PP via IDoc, OData services, and ABAP Proxies.
• Experience in preparing functional specifications for custom RICEFW objects using the SAP Enhancement Framework and standard BAPIs.

Good to have Competencies

• Practical experience in executing data migration using S/4HANA tools like LTMC and LSMW.
• Familiarity with Material Ledger in S/4HANA and cloud procurement platforms like SAP Ariba.
• Working knowledge of cross-functional modules such as Warehouse Management (WM/EWM) or Quality Management (QM).
• Ability to perform basic ABAP debugging and work within an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
