Responsibilities

• Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, chapters, playlists, and metadata for search visibility and recommendations.
• Conduct keyword research using YouTube Search, Google Trends, competitor analysis, and SEO tools.
• Identify underserved search opportunities and recommend content improvements.
• Implement AEO/GEO-oriented optimization practices for video discoverability across search ecosystems.
• Maintain metadata consistency and publishing standards across channels.
• Handle day-to-day YouTube publishing operations and scheduling.
• Monitor channel hygiene, copyright issues, policy compliance, and content quality.
• Analyze performance trends and prepare weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.

Job Description: YouTube Growth & Channel Manager

About The Role

We are looking for a YouTube Growth & Channel Manager who understands both content strategy and platform growth mechanics. The role involves managing YouTube channels end-to-end. Including uploads, optimization and metadata management to audience growth, discoverability, retention tracking, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across SEO, analytics, content publishing, client coordination, and YouTube best practices. Experience with large content libraries, and performance reporting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, chapters, playlists, and metadata for search visibility and recommendations
• Conduct keyword and topic research using YouTube Search, Google Trends, competitor analysis, and SEO tools
• Identify underserved search opportunities and recommend content improvements
• Implement AEO/GEO-oriented optimization practices for video discoverability across search ecosystems
• Maintain metadata consistency and publishing standards across channels
• Manage day-to-day YouTube publishing operations
• Schedule uploads, manage thumbnails, playlists, end screens, cards, captions, and community posts
• Ensure videos are properly categorized and aligned with channel strategy
• Monitor channel hygiene, copyright issues, policy compliance, and content quality standards

Performance & Analytics

• Analyze video performance trends and provide actionable recommendations
• Prepare weekly/monthly performance dashboards and reports
• Monitor competitor channels and benchmark performance trends
• Work closely with content, creative, and brand teams to improve video performance
• Suggest title variations, thumbnail directions, content hooks, and audience retention improvements
• Assist in developing content calendars aligned with audience demand and search behavior
• Assist in developing YT Thumbnails based on brand guidelines
• Support topic shortlisting for product and informational videos across funnels and evergreen content strategies

Operational Excellence

• Maintain publishing trackers, optimization checklists, and workflow documentation
• Coordinate with editors, designers, agencies, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure timely execution of uploads and optimization tasks at scale
• Support experimentation across thumbnails, titles, formats, and posting schedules

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience managing or optimizing YouTube channels
• An understanding of YouTube SEO, recommendations, and audience growth principles
• Familiarity with YouTube Analytics and Studio
• Experience with keyword research and competitor analysis tools
• Strong understanding of metadata optimization and content structuring
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint for reporting and tracking
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple videos/projects simultaneously

Good to Have

• Experience handling channels for BFSI, or consumer sectors
• Familiarity with AI tools for optimization workflows and content support
