Job summary

Indalc Spirits Private Limited in Odisha is seeking a skilled WTP Operator to manage the Water Treatment Plant during shift operations. You will operate RO and DM systems and ensure continuous supply of treated water for plant processes.

The role requires 2–5 years in WTP/RO/DM operations, a Diploma/ITI in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering, and safety-conscious work habits. Prior distillery or chemical-industry experience is preferred. Rotational shifts apply.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in WTP / RO / DM plant operations.
• Experience in Distillery / chemical industry preferred.
• Certification in water treatment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor RO and DM systems.
• Ensure uninterrupted DM water supply to boiler and process sections.
• Monitor RO feed, permeate, reject flow; pressure across RO stages; DM water levels.
• Maintain shift-wise water generation and consumption logs; record equipment running hours and downtime.
• Handle MB, ACF, MGF cleaning and backwash operations.
• Monitor chemical dosing and consumption.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues in WTP systems.
• Coordinate with boiler and utility teams for water demand.
• Maintain shift and hourly entries in logs.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled WTP Operator to manage and operate the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) during shift operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring continuous supply of treated water (RO & DM) for plant operations, maintaining system efficiency, and handling routine maintenance and cleaning activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor RO (Reverse Osmosis) and DM (Demineralization) systems
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of DM water to boiler and process sections
• Monitor key parameters:
  • RO Feed, Permeate & Reject flow
  • Pressure across RO stages
  • DM water tank levels
• Maintain and record:
  • Shift-wise water generation and consumption
  • Equipment running hours and downtime
• Handle:
  • MB, ACF, MGF cleaning and backwash operations
• Monitor chemical dosing and consumption
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues in WTP systems
• Coordinate with boiler and utility teams for water demand
• Maintain proper logs in shift and hourly entries

Qualifications

Must have

• 2-5 years in WTP / RO / DM plant operations
• Experience in Distillery / chemical industry preferred
• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical Engineering
• Certification in water treatment (preferred)
