Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced professional to manage daily operations of water treatment and related systems at a thermal power facility. You will oversee pre-treatment, seawater/brackish water RO plants, DM, ETP/STP, ZLD, NH3 storage, and related chlorination processes to meet production targets.

The role requires coordinating with Maintenance, digitizing operations, and ensuring accuracy of MIS and inventory records while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification as listed: M.Sc./B.Sc./B.Tech in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years experience in Thermal Power plant chemistry operations, focusing on boiler water chemistry and water treatment systems.
• Experience in Thermal Power Plant or similar industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead/operational support for water systems including pre-treatment, RO, DM, ETP/STP, and chlorination processes.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for planned maintenance and PM scheduling; ensure equipment availability.
• Raise MRS and PRs to procure materials; manage daily MIS reports and inventory records.
• Ensure compliance with IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA and PTW safety guidelines.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

• This role is responsible to execute the daily operations of water systems, ensuring the achievement of production goals and maintaining quality standards.
• This role needs to coordinate with the Maintenance team for optimal equipment performance, managing procurement via Material Service Requests.
• The role also entails the preparation and submission of daily MIS reports and the maintenance of accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Lead/Operational Support Staff - Water Systems Operational Excellence: Execute the daily operations of pre-treatment, sea water/brackish water RO plant, DM systems, ETP and STP systems, ZLD, NH3 storage, N-Pit systems and Chlorination/Electro Chlorination systems, ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day activities.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team for timely completion of planned maintenance jobs to ensure equipment availability and follow up on PM schedule.
• Execute the implementation of work instructions for efficient plant operations and achieve production quantity and quality as per set targets.

• Raise Material Service Requests (MRS) to procure materials from stores as needed.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit Daily Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical and consumable goods inventory.
• Engage in day-to-day SAP activities related to operations.
• Raise Purchase Requests (PRs) for materials and services procurement.
• Business Sustainability: Implement and follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA and CHETNA guidelines within the department.
• Maintain the safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to compliance with all legal and statutory requirements concerning plant operations.
• Ensure all formats are in line with PTW (Permit to Work) guidelines.
• Digitization and Automation: Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
• Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.
• Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

• Preferred Industry: Experience in Thermal Power Plant or similar industry.
