Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Workforce Planner to join the Analyst team in driving operational insights and strategic planning. You will analyze and forecast data, support business decisions, and present findings to leadership.

The role emphasizes collaboration across functions, process improvement, and adherence to company policies. The position requires strong analytical skills, experience with WFM tools, and proficiency in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, with a preference for healthcare

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Workforce Management or related field.
• 3+ years in long/short-term capacity planning or Provider Operations.
• 3+ years in gathering, analyzing, and modelling data.
• Proficiency with PC-based software (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, forecast, and trend complex data.
• Present analysis for operational and business reviews.
• Support short and long term operational/strategic activities through analysis.
• Develop recommended business solutions from data and processes.
• Support ad hoc operational/strategic activities via analysis and reporting.
• Review key operational metrics including volume, AHT, shrinkage, occupancy, utilization, attrition, SLA/turnaround.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with employment terms and company policies; adapt as needed.

As a key member of the Analyst team, you will be part of UnitedHealth Group's mission of helping people live healthier lives. As a Workforce Planner, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies. You will be challenged to analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning. As part of this elite team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data and presenting recommendations for business solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Compile, analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data
• Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
• Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
• Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate
• Support ad hoc operational/strategic business activities through analysis and reporting
• Review and report on key operational metrics including volume, average handle time, shrinkage, occupancy, utilization, attrition, and SLA/turnaround time
• Perform other job-related work as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of work experience in Workforce Management or related field
• 3+ years of experience in long and / or short-term capacity planning or 3+ years of experience in Provider Operations
• 3+ years of experience in gathering, analyzing, and modelling data
• Intermediate level of proficiency with PC-based software programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience in the Healthcare industry
• Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) software
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Alteryx and Tableau
• Demonstrated solid analytical and critical thinking skills to identify trends and influence business decisions
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills
