Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Workday Integrations & Extend Consultant to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade integration solutions within the Workday ecosystem. The role focuses on Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, Orchestration, and Workday Extend to deliver HR, Payroll, Benefits interfaces.

You will collaborate with HR and payroll stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, build custom extensions, and ensure secure, high-performance integrations

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT/consulting experience with 6+ years of hands-on Workday experience.
• Strong experience in Workday Integrations and Workday Extend development.
• Proven expertise in Workday Studio for designing and building complex integrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) – Inbound and Outbound.
• Extensive experience with Core Connectors.
• In-depth knowledge of PECI and PICOF frameworks.
• Experience working with Workday Orchestration.
• Experience building and supporting Benefit Connectors.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications using Workday Extend.
• Strong understanding of Workday Extend architecture, business objects, security framework, and application lifecycle.
• Experience integrating Workday Extend applications with Workday Studio, EIBs, REST/SOAP APIs, and external systems.
• Proficiency in XSLT, XPath, XML, JSON, and related integration technologies.
• Strong understanding of the Workday data model and business objects.
• Experience working with Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP APIs).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, and Orchestration.
• Build and support custom applications using Workday Extend to address complex business requirements and enhance Workday capabilities.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Develop integrations with third-party systems including payroll providers, benefits carriers, and other enterprise applications.
• Manage and troubleshoot integration failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
• Configure and maintain PECI/PICOF integrations for payroll interfaces.
• Build and enhance Workday Orchestration workflows for new business processes and integration requirements.
• Develop and maintain Benefit Connectors supporting Open Enrollment, Life Events, and carrier feeds.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Workday Extend applications integrated with Workday business processes, reports, and external systems.
• Ensure security, scalability, and performance of Workday Extend applications.
• Perform regular integration audits and monitor scheduled integration jobs.
• Support Workday release cycles, including impact assessment, regression testing, and validation activities.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation, deployment guides, and operational support documentation.
