Job summary

UST is seeking a Workday Extend Integration Developer to design, develop, test, and support Workday integrations and Extend applications from Chennai. You will work with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs to connect Workday with external systems.

You will collaborate with HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Finance teams, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions while following best practices and SDLC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related discipline.
• Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

Position Summary

UST is seeking a skilled Workday Extend Integration Developer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting Workday integrations and Workday Extend applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Workday Integrations, Studio, EIB, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies, along with experience supporting Workday HCM and Financial Management business processes.

This role will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday integrations and Workday Extend applications.
• Build integrations using:
  • Workday Studio
  • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Core Connectors
  • Workday Web Services
  • REST/SOAP APIs
• Develop and maintain inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and external applications.
• Configure and support Workday Extend solutions to meet business requirements.
• Participate in technical design discussions and solution workshops.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical integration designs.
• Create technical specifications, design documents, and deployment artifacts.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support testing activities including Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and Production Validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and third-party vendors.
• Follow Workday integration best practices and development standards.
• Participate in production support, enhancements, and ongoing optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

• 4-6 years of overall IT experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Workday Integration development experience.
• Experience working on at least one end-to-end Workday implementation project.
• Experience supporting Workday HCM and/or Workday Financials integrations.
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise application integrations.
