Job summary

TEKsystems Global Services in India is seeking an experienced Payroll/HRIS professional to lead Workday Payroll configurations for US payroll processing.

You will collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, multi-state and local tax rules, and drive payroll optimization, testing and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Payroll or HRIS experience with 5+ years in Workday Payroll configuration.
• Strong US Payroll processing knowledge across federal, multi-state and local rules.
• Deep understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, retirement, imputed income and year-end tasks.
• Experience implementing payroll configuration changes due to legislation or tax updates.
• Strong analytics, documentation, workshops, and stakeholder management.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Payroll or HRIS experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll configuration experience.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with US Payroll processing and configuration across federal, multi-state and local requirements.
• Deep understanding of payroll taxation, withholding, deductions, garnishments, retirement deductions, imputed income, payroll accounting and year-end activities.
• Proven experience implementing payroll configuration changes triggered by legislative, regulatory or tax updates.
• Strong knowledge of payroll controls, reconciliation, auditability, testing, and issue diagnosis.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Workday Payroll certification.
• Experience supporting large, complex or multi-state US payroll environments.

Experience with payroll transformation, optimization, compliance, or production support programmers.
