Job summary
Ashtech Infotech in Navi Mumbai is seeking a VMware/IT infrastructure administrator to monitor and manage virtualized environments. The role includes deploying and maintaining VMware VMs, patching Windows and Linux OS, and ensuring network connectivity, DNS, and storage are secure and optimized.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with virtualization, patching, performance tuning, DNS, shell scripting, and automation tools, along with strong communication skills for RCA
Qualifications
- VMware, Windows/Linux (Wintel, RHEL) and storage expertise.
- Experience with virtualization, patching and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with DNS, shell scripting, and automation tools.
- Strong communication and RCA documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor alerts, incidents, and escalations for VMware & OS infra.
- Install, configure & manage VMware environments and Virtual Machines. Perform OS patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting (Windows/Linux). Manage network connectivity, DNS, LUNs, and server hardening.
- Handle P2V migrations, firmware upgrades & backup management. Follow ITIL processes Incident, Change & Problem Management.
