Job summary

Aforeserve is seeking an experienced Windows Administrator in Mumbai to join our team. The role focuses on managing Windows Servers, Hyper-V clusters, IIS troubleshooting, and regular hardening and patching in day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VM provisioning, OS migrations, and server performance troubleshooting, ensuring high availability and incident resolution with support vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have Hyper-V management experience.
• Experience with failover cluster configuration is required.
• IIS troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Responsible for patching and hardening servers for security.
• Experience in provisioning/commissioning servers.
• In-place and side-by-side OS migration experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting for server performance is required.

Responsibilities

• Proactive monitoring of all servers using BSE tools.
• Monitor CPU and memory utilization.
• Monitor Windows resources, event logs and critical services.
• Prepare monthly server availability reports.
• Respond to incidents and own resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software incident resolution.
• Collaborate with support teams to review and resolve incidents.
• Coordinate with BSE vendors in hardware failures or third-party involvement.
• Reinstall OS when necessary due to crashes or issues.
• Restore all components after system failure or file system corruption.
• Link related incidents into a problem ticket for resolution.
• Patch OS for security and manage releases.
• Create/delete/configure VMs; manage VM snapshots.
• Report VM performance status using native/monitoring tools.
• Manage Hyper-V 2012/2016 clusters and access rights.
• OS hardening as per policy recommendations.
• IIS basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain server inventory.

Windows troubleshooting and Hyper-V working experience
is Mandatory Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Windows Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will
have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting Windows Servers including
Hyper-V Cluster, IIS basic troubleshooting and new server provisioning, Hardening, patching in day-to- day operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Proactive Monitoring of all the servers using BSE tools
2. CPU & Memory utilization & monitoring.
3. Microsoft Windows Resources, Event logs & critical services Monitor.
4. Monthly report on server availability
5. Respond to and own Incident till resolution
6. Engage customer contracted hardware and software support vendors to facilitate incident
   resolution
7. Work with customer support teams to review & resolve incidents
8. Co-ordinate customer contacts with BSE vendors in case of hardware failures or involvement
   of third-party vendor is required.
9. Reinstallation of OS, in case of OS crashes and for the problems where reinstallation of OS is
   required.
10. Perform restoration of all components at time of system failure or file system corruption
11. Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem
    management process
12. Patch OS for Security patches and release management for the same.
13. Creation/deletion/configuration of VMs, Creating/Deleting VM Snapshots.
14. Reporting VM performance status using Native tools/monitoring tools
15. Manage Hyper-V 2012/2016 Clusters
16. Manage Access rights and folders
17. OS hardening as per the policy recommendations
