Job summary

Aarav Global Products & Services in Navi Mumbai seeks an experienced OS/System Administrator to manage Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments in our enterprise data centers. You will handle virtualization, OS patching, performance tuning, security hardening, automation with Shell scripts, backup and DR activities, and coordination with storage, network, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) and Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on virtualization with VMware/Hyper-V/OpenStack or similar.
• Expertise in OS patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Proficient in shell scripting (bash) for automation.
• Experience with storage concepts including LVM and file systems.
• Knowledge of security hardening, firewall rules, and access controls.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced OS/System Administrator to manage and support Linux (RHEL) and Windows server environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in server administration, virtualization, OS patching, performance tuning, security hardening, automation, and troubleshooting in enterprise data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
• Manage physical servers and virtual machines (VMware/Hyper-V/OpenStack or similar).
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain operating systems.
• Perform daily health checks for CPU, memory, storage, filesystem, and server performance.
• Monitor system logs, audit logs, backup logs, and troubleshoot OS-related issues.
• Perform server performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Configure and manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and security policies.
• Implement OS security hardening, access controls, firewall configurations, and security best practices.
• Manage Logical Volume Management (LVM), mount points, storage, shared storage, and SFTP.
• Perform OS patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Handle backup and restore activities.
• Support DR drills and Disaster Recovery activities.
• Coordinate with OEMs, virtualization teams, storage teams, network teams, and application teams for issue resolution.
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS, NTP, NFS, Proxy, and related infrastructure services.
• Integrate servers with SIEM, SCD, ITAM, DAM, monitoring, and logging tools.
• Perform audit compliance activities including VAPT, IS Audit, CSR, and security compliance.
• Develop Shell Scripts/Bash scripts for automation.
• Install and configure enterprise software and server applications.
• Monitor server availability and maintain high uptime.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Manage cluster services including resource configuration, log monitoring, cluster startup/shutdown, and maintenance.
