Job summary

ThinkWise Consulting LLP is seeking a skilled Windows Administrator with 4+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server administration to manage enterprise Windows environments. The role emphasizes Hyper-V, Active Directory, patch management, security, and incident resolution.

The candidate will handle server hardening, clustering, NLB, and migrations, coordinating with vendors and ensuring SLA compliance across a large Windows estate. Experience with Azure/GCP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Hyper-V administration experience.

• Server hardening, antivirus management, and Windows security.
• Monitoring using SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, or ManageEngine.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Perform patch management using WSUS, SCCM, IBM BigFix, or ManageEngine.
• Implement server hardening and security best practices.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, replication, and backups.
• Administer File Servers (DFS, FSRM), Print Servers, IIS, and WDS.
• Monitor server health with monitoring tools.
• Manage Hyper-V environments: VM provisioning, clustering, replication, storage migration, performance optimization.
• Configure and troubleshoot Windows Clustering, NLB, and NIC Teaming.
• Support Windows Server and Hyper-V migration/upgrade activities.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform RCA.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for issue resolution.
• Maintain server availability, security, and performance across enterprise environments.
• Support Azure/GCP cloud operations (preferred).

Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have experience in managing Windows infrastructure, Hyper-V environments, Active Directory, patch management, server security, and troubleshooting enterprise Windows environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 environments.
• Perform Windows server patch management using WSUS, SCCM, IBM BigFix, or ManageEngine.
• Implement server hardening and security best practices.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, replication, and backup services.
• Administer File Servers (DFS, FSRM), Print Servers, IIS, and WDS.
• Monitor server health using tools such as SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, or ManageEngine.

• Support Azure/GCP cloud operations (preferred).

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019.
• Candidates must have hands-on experience managing and supporting an enterprise environment with 1,000+ Windows servers.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V administration.
• Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and ADFS.
• Experience with WSUS, SCCM, IBM BigFix, or ManageEngine patching tools.
• Knowledge of server hardening, antivirus management, and Windows security.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, or ManageEngine.
• Experience with Windows Clustering, NLB, NIC Teaming, and virtualization.
• Basic exposure to Azure or GCP is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, MCP, ITIL, or Microsoft Azure are preferred.
