Job summary

Uvation is seeking an experienced Windows Engineer to manage enterprise Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, patching, virtualization, security, and high-availability environments. The role requires strong troubleshooting and PowerShell automation skills, with VMware/Hyper-V experience.

The candidate will install, configure, and support Windows Server ecosystems, perform server builds and migrations, and handle security hardening and DR planning.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 environments.
• Strong Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with WSUS/SCCM/MECM for patching.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.
• Ability to troubleshoot OS, networking, performance, and security.
• Implement and maintain Windows security baselines and hardening.
• On-call support may be required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot OS, application, authentication, networking, performance, and system-level issues.
• Manage Windows Failover Clustering and high-availability environments.
• Support VMware/Hyper-V virtualized Windows workloads.
• Perform system performance analysis and capacity optimization.
• Implement Windows security baselines and hardening standards.
• Troubleshoot authentication issues (Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, certificates).
• Manage Windows services, scheduled tasks, event logs, registry, and configurations.
• Support backup, restore, DR, and business continuity activities.
• Automate repetitive admin tasks using PowerShell.
• Monitor infrastructure with enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Participate in incident/problem/change processes.
• Prepare technical documentation and SOPs.

The role requires strong troubleshooting and PowerShell automation skills, with experience in VMware/Hyper-V and enterprise infrastructure operations.

• Manage Microsoft Failover Clustering, Windows Server roles, and high-availability environments.
• Support VMware / Hyper-V virtualized Windows workloads.
• Perform system performance analysis and capacity optimization.
• Implement and maintain Windows security baselines and hardening standards.
• Troubleshoot authentication issues involving Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, certificates, and domain connectivity.
• Manage Windows services, scheduled tasks, event logs, registry settings, and system configurations.
• Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Automate repetitive administration tasks using PowerShell.
• Monitor infrastructure using enterprise monitoring and logging platforms.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and request management processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and infrastructure reports.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call / shift support, where required.
