Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a Welding Engineer with BE in Mechanical/Welding to develop and manage welding procedures for various processes. The role requires AWS CSWIP certification and ASNT levels for NDT, with responsibilities spanning inspections, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will coordinate with TPI/Class/Owners for qualifications and oversee training of welding personnel, ensuring safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Certified AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1.
• ASNT Level II/III in NDT techniques.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Certified AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1
• ASNT Level II/III in NDT techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain welding procedures and specifications in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Oversee and optimize welding processes, including SAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, and other specialized techniques e.g. Panel Line welding stations (TTS Make).
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure weld integrity and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to provide input on weldability of materials and design considerations.
• To coordinate with TPI / Class / Owners representative for workmen qualification and certification for specific project requirements.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices, new techniques, and safety protocols.
• Evaluate and implement new welding technologies and equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues during construction and repair projects. Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve the welding machines / equipment related issues. Maintain the welding machines which are kept as spare for future requirements.
• Maintain thorough documentation of welding procedures, qualifications, and inspections.
