Job summary

Texmaco Nymwag Rail & Components Private Limited is seeking a seasoned Welding Manager to lead a team of welders and technicians. You will plan projects, ensure compliance with AWS/ASME standards, and drive safety and quality across welding operations.

Qualifications

  • IWE certification is a plus and advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure welding work meets industry standards; perform inspections and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Plan and coordinate welding projects, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgeting.
  • Promote safety by enforcing protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams for seamless workflow.
  • Maintain records of welding activities, including inspections, certifications, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and implement welding procedures and work instructions for efficiency.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and training for welding personnel.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of welding supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee setup and calibration of welding equipment; address technical issues timely.
  • Prepare reports on production metrics, quality issues, and safety compliance.
  • Foster continuous improvement through team involvement in process optimization.
  • Ensure clear communication of project requirements and deadlines to the welding team.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team involvement in process optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication of project requirements and deadlines to the welding team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., IWE) are a plus.
Technical Competencies
  • Proficient in various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME).
  • Familiarity with welding equipment and technology, including automated systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and inspection techniques in welding.
Experience
  • 10+ experience Minimum of [X] years of experience in welding management or a similar.
