Job summary

Jindal SAW Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welding Engineer with 4–8 years of experience in stainless steel pipe manufacturing.

The role focuses on welding process control, quality assurance and WPS/PQR management to continuously improve welding operations and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. You will monitor welding processes (GTAW/TIG, PAW, SAW, etc.), develop and maintain WPS/PQR, and coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to boost efficiency and product

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in stainless steel pipe manufacturing.
• Welding process control and quality assurance.
• WPS/PQR management and continuous improvement of welding operations.
• Compliance with customer and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize welding processes (GTAW/TIG, PAW, SAW) for SS pipe manufacturing.
• Develop, review and maintain WPS, PQR, and welder qualification records.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, API and customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot welding-related defects and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance to improve welding efficiency and product quality.
• Conduct welding audits, process validation and operator training.
• Support inspection activities including NDT, hydro testing and quality documentation.
