Job summary

HDFC Bank Limited invites applications for the role of Teller & Welcome Desk at our branch. The position focuses on accurate cash receipts and payments, customer greeting, and guiding customers to digital banking channels.

You will balance cash, handle queries, process routine transactions, and maintain vault and counter discipline while delivering high-quality service to walk-in customers. Knowledge of bank products and procedures, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash receipts and payments accurately within prescribed timelines.
• Perform cash balancing, bundling, and maintain custody of teller box, cheque drop box, ATM vault, and other cashrelated assets.
• Process retail forex transactions, gold sales, prepaid cards, DD/MC issuance, fund transfers, FD/account closures, and salary uploads.
• Ensure errorfree transactions, detect counterfeit currency, and follow all cash, clearing, and vault procedures.
• Monitor largevalue transactions, TOD accounts, high chequereturn customers, and guide frequent counter visitors towards digital banking channels.
• Manage archival backups, stationery, daily voucher batch preparation, admin bill followup, vault registers, and clearing/collection cheques.
• Provide consistent and highquality customer service to walkin customers.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all bank products and services and assist customers with queries.
• Answer customer questions, provide general banking information, and support basic service transactions.
• Handle incoming calls, transfer calls, take messages, follow up on minor customer issues, and manage incoming/outgoing mail.
• Uphold disciplined frontdesk performance, multitask effectively, and manage both operational and salessupport responsibilities.
• Work in a high customerinteraction environment requiring focus, communication skills, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and knowledge of banking procedures.
