Job summary

Panigrahana Weddings in Bengaluru is seeking a hands-on Wedding & Event Designer to take client briefs from mood boards through spatial design, decor detailing and final styling on site. You will translate concepts into executable plans, coordinate with planners, florists and production teams, and ensure a cohesive, wearable wedding aesthetic.

The role emphasizes a strong visual eye, attention to detail, and the ability to present concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience designing weddings, with involvement in actual wedding decor execution.
• Portfolio showing both design thinking and completed wedding setups.
• Strong understanding of aesthetics, composition, colour, texture, materials and styling.
• Practical knowledge of wedding sets, flats, backdrops, staging and production processes.
• Ability to produce mood boards, presentations and spatial layouts using design tools.
• Attention to detail, collaborative communication and ability to handle revisions and event-day deadlines.
• Availability to work on-site in Bengaluru, attend venue visits and participate in wedding installations.

Responsibilities

• Understand the couple’s vision, the functions, venue, budget and practical requirements, then develop a clear creative direction.
• Create original mood boards, colour palettes, material and finish references, and client-ready concept presentations.
• Develop layouts and decor concepts for entrances, mandaps, stages, backdrops, dining, lounges and other wedding spaces, with attention to scale, proportions, sightlines and guest movement.
• Understand different stage and backdrop flats and scenic panels: their forms, dimensions, layering, materials, finishes and how they fit into the overall set.
• Bring together florals, fabrics, furniture, props, table settings and lighting into a cohesive aesthetic, rather than treating each element in isolation.
• Prepare or coordinate drawings, measurements, specifications and item lists needed to turn the approved concept into an executable plan.
• Work with planners, florists, fabricators, vendors and the production team to check feasibility, costing, sourcing and timelines.
• Present concepts confidently, incorporate client feedback and keep approved scope and revisions organised.
• Attend site visits and oversee design detailing, installation and final styling during execution, resolving practical issues while protecting the agreed design.
• Check the finished setup against the approved concept, including proportions, finishes, floral placement, furniture placement and visual consistency.

Wedding & Event Designer – Decor, Styling & Execution

Design weddings that feel considered, cohesive and personal — and help bring them to life on site. We are looking for a designer with previous wedding-industry experience who can take a client brief through mood boards, spatial design, decor detailing and final styling. You should have a strong visual eye and understand how a beautiful concept is actually built.

COMPENSATION

₹8–10 lakh per annum fixed + ₹4 lakh per annum performance-linked variable. Total annual earning opportunity: ₹12–14 lakh, including the variable component. Variable pay is performance-linked and is not guaranteed fixed pay.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience designing weddings, with involvement in actual wedding decor execution. Experience at a wedding planning, decor or event design company is particularly relevant.


• A portfolio showing both your design thinking and completed wedding setups. Be clear about the parts you personally designed and executed.


• A strong understanding of aesthetics, composition, colour, texture, materials, flowers and styling.


• Practical knowledge of wedding sets, flats, backdrops, staging and production processes, and the ability to discuss details with the people building them.
