Job summary

Believe Weddings in Mumbai is seeking a Wedding Decor Designer to concept and execute themed decor for client weddings. This full-time, on-site role requires space planning, material selection, and collaboration with planners, venues, and suppliers to ensure beautiful, on-budget results.

You will translate clients’ stories into layouts and visuals, supervise installations and breakdowns, and adapt designs to different venues, schedules, and lighting, while maintaining Believe Weddings' signature

Qualifications

• Space planning and interior design to create functional, visually appealing layouts.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings to plan decor.
• Familiarity with FF&E selection for cohesive decor themes.
• Strong visual design sense with creativity and attention to detail.
• On-site work during setup, events, and dismantling, including evenings/weekends.
• Excellent communication and vendor coordination.
• Proficiency in design tools such as CAD or SketchUp is an advantage.
• Prior wedding decor or interior design experience is preferred.

Role Description

The Wedding Decor Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This position is responsible for conceptualizing and designing wedding decor themes, layouts, and visual experiences that align with client preferences and venue characteristics. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, selecting decor elements and materials, preparing layout plans and sketches, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and overseeing installation and breakdown of decor on event days. The role also involves collaborating with planners, venue teams, and technical staff to ensure decor is executed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the aesthetic standards of Believe Weddings.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning and Interior Design to create functional, visually appealing layouts for wedding venues.
• Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Construction Drawings to interpret structural limitations and develop accurate decor plans.
• Candidates should possess skills in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection to curate cohesive decor elements and materials.
• Strong visual design sense, creativity, and attention to detail in event or interior decor.
• Ability to work on-site during setup, event execution, and dismantling, often on evenings and weekends as required.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with design tools or software (e.g., CAD, SketchUp, or similar) is an advantage.
• Prior experience in wedding decor, event design, or interior design is preferred; relevant education in design, architecture, or a related field is beneficial.
