Linux & Middleware infrastructure Engineer (L2) roles and Responsibilities.

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot large-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) production environments with high availability.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise middleware platforms including Red Hat JBoss EAP, IBM WebSphere Application Server, Apache HTTP Server, and IBM HTTP Server (IHS).

• Lead production support activities, ensuring maximum service availability and adherence to SLA commitments.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting of middleware, application, operating system, and network-related issues using systematic root cause analysis methodologies.
• Architect, implement, and optimize SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management across Apache, JBoss, WebSphere, and IHS environments.
• Generate Certificate Signing Requests (CSR), manage Java Keystores (JKS), PKCS12, trust stores, and automate certificate renewal processes.
• Configure and optimize WebSphere cells, clusters, deployment managers, nodes, JVMs, data sources, connection pools, JMS resources, and security settings.
• Administer JBoss standalone and domain environments, including server groups, deployments, clustering, data source configuration, and performance tuning.
• Configure and manage Apache HTTP Server, reverse proxy, load balancing, virtual hosts, URL rewriting, and SSL termination.
• Perform middleware performance tuning, JVM optimization, heap analysis, garbage collection tuning, thread analysis, and memory leak investigation.

• Manage production, UAT, DR, and pre-production environments while ensuring configuration consistency across all environments.
• Perform Linux kernel parameter tuning, filesystem management, user administration, service management, package management, and server lifecycle activities.
• Support high-availability and clustered environments with minimal downtime during planned and unplanned maintenance.
