Strong knowledge of IBM WAS, IHS, MQ, and related middleware, plus ITIL process experience, are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Required BE/BTech with 10+ years in infrastructure services.
• ITIL certification or strong ITIL knowledge in Incident/Problem/Change management.
• Experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) administration.

Role Description The role holder will be responsible for providing overall L3 IBM WAS administration support for the team.

Qualification & Experience:

B. Tech / BE 10 + years of relevant experience Delivery of quality, cost effective infrastructure services in a complex & high availability environment.

Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment. ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines.

Technical skills:

Strong Knowledge in Deploying applications in IBM WAS Monitoring applications, configuring new instances Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs Ability to provide consultation for new projects, functionalities, migrations, upgrades.

Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs Ability to plan, initiate and manage special tasks/projects.

Analytical skills Good analytical, trouble shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.

Process skills Ability to resolve service requests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.

Strong Knowledge of ITSM processes Other skills Customer interface experience (managing expectations; negotiating compromise solutions).

Should have good communication and interpersonal skill. Experience in team handling. Education BE/BTech

• Candidate should have good understanding on IHS, WebSphere Application server , MQ, and understanding on RDBMS connectivity.
• Candidate should have understanding on infra components like WAF, load balancer, Proxy, Firewalls, physical hardware, LPAR, storages, etc.
• Candidate should have worked on setting up new environment performing sizing and designing the application flow.
• Candidate should have worked on capacity planning & application scaling, resizing.
• Candidate should have worked on different middleware is like apace, tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic. (good to have)
• Candidate should have experience on scaling WAS infrastructure ( knowledge of webserver MPM, MaxClient, webcontainer Threads, JDBC pools needed)
• Candidate should know the concept + implementation knowledge of HA (high availability, session persistence + affinity)
• Candidate should know how to secure web/App Server ( SSL, Protocol & Cipher filtering configuration) / Worked on VAs before.
• Candidate should be good at Heap dump/Thread dump analysis. Should be able to troubleshoot issue and pinpoint the problem.
• Candidate should have worked on any scripting languages, shell, python, etc.
• Candidate should be able to understand the problem area and provide solution on them.
