Job summary

Jay FineChem Private Limited is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager based in Vapi, India. This role involves overseeing the entire warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with GMP and other regulations, and managing logistics activities for on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's/Master’s degree and 7-10 years of experience in warehouse/logistics management in the pharmaceutical sector, along with strong leadership and analytical skills. Familiarity with ERP/WMS software is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years in warehouse/logistics management, preferably in the pharmaceutical/API industry.
  • Experience in handling cold storage and hazardous materials.
  • GMP/GDP certification or relevant warehouse management certification is a plus.

Job description

We have an opportunity for Warehouse and Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Management
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO, FEFO) and maintain traceability of materials.
  • Optimize warehouse layout for efficiency and compliance.
  • Implement automation and ERP/WMS systems for inventory tracking.
2. Inventory Control & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, USFDA, WHO-GMP, MHRA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure proper material handling and storage conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.).
  • Monitor controlled substances and hazardous materials as per regulatory norms.
3. Team Management & Coordination
  • Supervise warehouse staff, allocate tasks, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Conduct training programs on GMP, safety protocols, and material handling.
  • Work closely with procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams for smooth operations.
4. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Implement safety protocols to prevent workplace accidents.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
5. Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Plan, manage, and optimize inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and finished products to production units, customers, and distributors.
  • Work closely with transport providers, freight forwarders, and customs clearance teams.
  • Monitor transportation costs and negotiate contracts with logistics partners for cost efficiency.
  • Ensure cold chain logistics and controlled-temperature shipments for sensitive products.
  • Manage export/import documentation, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance for international shipments.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse & logistics management in the pharmaceutical/API sector
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Expertise in GMP, GDP, FDA, and other compliance regulations
  • Experience in handling cold storage and hazardous materials
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Education

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field

Experience

Minimum 7-10 years in warehouse/logistics management, preferably in the pharmaceutical/API industry

Certifications

GMP/GDP certification or relevant warehouse management certification is a plus
