Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Inventory Manager with a strong background in the Quick Commerce industry to lead inventory planning, control, and governance for a large-scale warehouse operation. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience managing high‑SKU inventory, fast‑moving products, cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory accuracy across multiple fulfillment centers or a Pan‑India warehouse network.
This role requires a highly analytical and process‑driven professional who can ensure optimal inventory health, minimize stock losses, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth through effective inventory management practices.
Core Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
- Own end-to-end inventory management for a large-format warehouse handling high-volume and high‑SKU operations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through robust stock control processes, cycle counts, and periodic audits.
- Monitor stock movement, aging inventory, shrinkage, damages, and stock adjustments.
- Ensure real‑time inventory visibility and accuracy across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Develop and implement inventory governance frameworks to minimize discrepancies and losses.
Pan-India Inventory Operations
- Manage inventory planning and control across multiple warehouses, fulfillment centers, or dark store networks.
- Coordinate inventory transfers and replenishment across locations to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Establish inventory SOPs and standardize processes across the network.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives to improve stock turns and reduce working capital requirements.
Audit & Reconciliation
- Lead daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure timely stock reconciliation between physical inventory and system records.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams for inventory closure and reporting.
Process Excellence & Analytics
- Analyze inventory KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Drive root cause analysis for inventory losses, stock mismatches, and operational inefficiencies.
- Develop dashboards and reports for inventory health, stock availability, fill rates, and inventory accuracy.
- Leverage data insights to improve forecasting and inventory utilization.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor inventory executives, warehouse associates, and audit teams.
- Build a culture of accountability, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular training on inventory management best practices and SOP adherence.
- Ensure effective utilization of WMS, ERP, and inventory management tools.
- Partner with technology teams to improve inventory tracking, reporting, and automation.
- Support implementation of new inventory systems, controls, and warehouse technologies.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain functions.
- Mandatory experience in the Quick Commerce industry (e.g., dark stores, rapid delivery, grocery quick commerce, instant commerce platforms).
- Proven experience managing inventory for large warehouses and Pan-India distribution networks.
- Strong understanding of inventory control methodologies, stock audits, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes.
- Hands‑on experience with WMS, ERP systems, and inventory analytics tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with tight operational SLAs.
