Key responsibilities
Receiving and goods receipt
- Receive incoming deliveries and check quantity, condition and documents against the PO.
- Post GRNs in SAP/ERP within the agreed timeframe.
- Report shortages, damages and quality issues to procurement and suppliers, and manage returns.
Inventory management
- Maintain accurate stock records and bin locations in SAP/ERP.
- Run cycle counts and periodic physical stock counts, and investigate and reconcile variances.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO and monitor expiry, slow-moving and obsolete stock.
- Monitor minimum stock and reorder levels, and alert procurement before stock-outs.
Storage, issue and dispatch
- Store materials safely and in an organised layout that makes good use of space.
- Issue materials against approved requests and dispatch transfers to sites on time.
- Close goods issues, transfers and returns in the system promptly.
Cost control
- Reduce write-offs from damage, expiry and obsolescence.
- Identify savings in storage, packaging, handling and freight.
Stakeholder coordination
- Work with procurement on deliveries, planning on demand, finance on GRN and invoice matching, and operations on material needs.
- Share regular reports on stock levels, receipts, issues and discrepancies.
Systems and implementation projects
- Execute warehouse tasks in the E-Procurement tool implementation, including receiving workflows, master data and testing.
- Monitor and execute warehouse tasks in the WeC implementation, track milestones and report progress.
Compliance, safety and documentation
- Follow inventory and warehouse policies and approval workflows for receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments.
- Keep complete records so warehouse files are audit-ready at all times, and support audits.
- Maintain health, safety and housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
India warehouse support
- Support India warehouse activities from goods receipt to issue and stock reporting.
- Coordinate with India stakeholders on receipts, stock levels and timelines.
Continuous improvement
- Attend training and act on feedback to build warehouse knowledge and efficiency.
- Suggest and take part in process improvement initiatives.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications and skills
Mandatory
- Working knowledge of SAP or an equivalent ERP system, especially inventory and warehouse transactions (GRN, goods issue, transfers, stock counts).
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in warehouse, stores or inventory management.
Preferred
- Experience with e-procurement or warehouse system implementation projects.
- Exposure to India operations and multi-country warehouse environments.
- Certification in warehousing, logistics or inventory management (for example CIPS, APICS CPIM or CLTD).
Skills and competencies
- Inventory control and stock reconciliation.
- Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams and suppliers.
- Planning, organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
- Understanding of inventory policies, controls, audit requirements and warehouse safety.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and drive process improvement.
