A Ward Boy is responsible for assisting nurses and doctors in providing basic patient support and ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and smooth functioning of hospital wards. The includes transporting patients, assisting with patient movement, maintaining ward hygiene, delivering medical supplies, and supporting clinical staff to provide safe and efficient patient care.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with movement, transfers, and transportation within the hospital.
• Support nursing staff during routine patient care activities.
• Transport patients to diagnostic departments, operation theatres, and other clinical areas.
• Assist in shifting patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, and hospital beds.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of wards and patient care areas.
• Deliver medicines, reports, medical equipment, and supplies between departments.
• Assist in preparing beds and patient rooms for admissions and discharges.
• Respond promptly to patient and nursing staff requests.
• Follow infection prevention and hospital hygiene protocols.
