Job Description

Nursing - Ward is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to hospital wards. The includes patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring, nursing procedures, documentation, patient education, and coordination with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and continuous patient care.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in assigned wards.
• Assess patients and monitor vital signs and clinical condition.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments.
• Assist doctors during ward rounds, examinations, and procedures.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormalities promptly.
• Perform nursing procedures according to approved protocols.
• Provide wound care, dressings, hygiene, comfort, and mobility support.
• Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, and surgeries.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication charts, and patient records.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer, discharge, and referral processes.
• Monitor intake, output, and other assigned clinical parameters.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment and care instructions.
• Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments.
• Follow infection-control, hand-hygiene, and patient-safety procedures.
• Assist during emergencies and resuscitation activities within training and scope.
• Maintain nursing equipment, medicines, and ward supplies.
• Participate in shift handovers and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Report patient-safety concerns and clinical abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Follow hospital nursing SOPs and professional standards.
