Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) invites experienced performance testing professionals in Chennai to join our team. The role requires 4–10 years of hands-on experience with LoadRunner, APM tools, and cloud infrastructure, plus strong scripting in Java and C.

You will analyze results, coordinate triage, and drive optimization across banking domain projects. Expect on-site discussions and potential collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with LoadRunner and APM tools.
• Ability to work independently in requirements analysis, design, execution and result analysis.
• Develop customized Java & C code to optimize VuGen scripts.
• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for issue triaging and bug fixes.
• Strong understanding of OS internals, file systems, storage and networking; knowledge of cloud infra.
• Monitor production stats and apply models in test environments to uncover issues.
• Experience monitoring DB performance; highlight bottlenecks.
• Finance Banking domain exposure; LoadRunner protocols and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of SQL or Mongo databases.
• Unix basics and cloud concepts (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

What we are looking for

Must Have

• Good experience using Performance Test tool LoadRunner and understanding of APM tools like AppDynamics/Dynatrace/New Relic, etc.
• Should have ability to work independently in Requirement analysis, designing, execution & result analysis phase.
• Develop customized codes in Java & C language for optimizing and enhancing Vugen scripts.
• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for issue triaging & bug fixes.
• Good understanding of different OS internals, file systems, disk/storage, networking protocols and other latest technologies like Cloud infra.
• Monitor/extract production performance statistics and apply the same model in the test environments with higher load to uncover performance issues.
• Must have experience in monitoring DB and highlight performance issues.
• Experience working on Finance Banking domain projects. LoadRunner -HTTP/HTML/Webservices protocol/Java Protocol, . Monitoring Tools: AppDynamics/ Dynatrace/ Cloudwatch/ Splunk/ Kibana/ Grafana/ Datadog
• Database – SQL or Mongo
• Unix basics
• Good understanding of cloud concepts – AWS/Azure
