Job summary

Apollo Hospitals Chennai is seeking a compassionate nursing professional to support health check packages, clinical and preventive care, and diagnostic coordination within our facility. You will assist patients, monitor vital signs, and ensure safe, patient-centered care.

This role involves infection control, equipment management, and collaboration with physicians to deliver a seamless patient journey while adhering to NABH standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate health check packages as per organizational protocols.
• Assist patients throughout the health check process.
• Record and monitor vital parameters including BP, pulse, temperature, height, weight, BMI, and SpO.
• Ensure timely completion of all investigations included in health check packages.
• Educate patients regarding preventive healthcare and lifestyle modifications.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, and vaccinations.
• Assist physicians during OPD consultations and minor procedures.
• Perform basic nursing assessments and report abnormalities to clinicians.
• Provide first aid and emergency support whenever required.
• Ensure safe patient handling and comfort.
• Coordinate patient movement between departments for investigations.
• Assist in sample collection activities as per protocols.
• Ensure proper patient preparation for diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Follow infection prevention and control guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to NABH and Apollo quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of consultation rooms and nursing stations.
• Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
• Provide courteous and compassionate care.

• Address patient queries and ensure a seamless patient journey.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Monitor availability of consumables and nursing supplies.
• Maintain vaccination and emergency trolley stocks.
