Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Provide quality nursing care to patients as per hospital protocols and clinical standards.
2. Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2 and respiratory rate.
3. Administer medications, injections, IV fluids and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
4. Assist doctors during OPD consultations, clinical procedures and minor interventions.
5. Maintain proper patient records, nursing notes, medication charts and treatment documentation.
6. Ensure timely medication administration and follow medication safety protocols.
7. Monitor patients' conditions and immediately report any changes or emergencies to the concerned doctor.
8. Assist in admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
9. Maintain hygiene, infection control, biomedical waste management and patient safety standards.
10. Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
11. Coordinate with doctors, front office, laboratory and other hospital departments for smooth patient care.
12. Ensure proper handover of patients and pending clinical responsibilities between shifts.
13. Maintain cleanliness, readiness and availability of nursing equipment.
14. Educate patients and their relatives regarding medications, procedures and discharge instructions.
