Job summary

A And G Facades in Chennai, India, seeks a Facade Site Supervisor to oversee faade installation at site, ensure work follows approved shop drawings and method statements, and monitor alignment, level, plumb, and panel positioning.

You will coordinate erection sequencing, verify brackets and anchors, manage safety and daily progress reporting, and liaise with consultants, architects, civil and structural teams to resolve issues and support timely project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Supervise faade installation activities at site.
• Ensure installation is carried out as per approved shop drawings and method statements.
• Monitor alignment, level, plumb, and positioning of faade members, brackets, glass, and cladding panels.
• Coordinate faade erection sequence as per site conditions.
• Verify bracket positioning and anchor fixing before faade installation.
• Monitor tolerance levels with civil and structural works.
• Check incoming faade materials such as aluminium profiles, glass, brackets, fasteners, sealants, and accessories.
• Ensure approved materials and finishes are used at site.
• Coordinate with store, purchase, and factory teams for material availability.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of faade materials at site.
• Monitor material wastage and reconciliation.
• Verify installation quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Check for fouling issues, gaps, misalignment, water leakage risks, and fitment problems.
• Ensure proper sealing, fixing, and finishing of faade elements.
• Check silicone/sealant application as per approved specifications.
• Conduct inspections before consultant/client review.
• Ensure protection of installed glass and aluminium materials from damage.
• Follow approved IFC/shop drawings and coordinate site conditions accordingly.
• Identify clashes between faade and structural/civil works.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and structural teams for technical clarifications.
• Raise RFIs for unresolved technical/site issues.
• Ensure as-built updates are communicated to the design/shop drawing team.
• Coordinate measurement verification before fabrication and installation.
• Ensure safe faade installation practices at height.
• Monitor usage of PPE, lifelines, scaffolding, gondola, boom lift, and lifting equipment.
• Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and permits.
• Coordinate access requirements for faade installation activities.
• Manage faade installers, fabricators, and subcontractors.
• Allocate daily work targets and monitor productivity.
• Ensure adequate manpower for planned activities.
• Track daily installation progress against project schedule.
• Update project manager/client on work status and delays.

• Support billing measurements and quantity verification.
• Report daily site progress, manpower status, material requirements, and site issues to the Project Coordinator.

Testing & Handover

• Coordinate mock-up installation, approvals, and water testing activities.
• Ensure snag rectification before handover.
• Monitor punch point closure.
• Support final faade cleaning and project closeout activities.
